Dr Christine Grant

Dr Christine Grant is a leading applied researcher in the field of remote working.  Her work explores the psychological factors and behaviours that affect remote workers including, work-life balance, job effectiveness and wellbeing. Christine also develops psychometric measures in this area including the globally renowned e work-life scale that enables individuals and organisations to measure the quality of remote working. Contact at christine.grant@coventry.ac.uk

 She has published a book entitled: Agile Working and Well-Being in the Digital Age | Springer and developed a digital competency framework for remote workers based on her research. Recently completing a funded project to explore remote working for those people with a disability and/or are neurodivergent, seeking to influence government policy and guidance in this area. During the pandemic Christine worked with the British Psychological Society COVID19 ‘Working Differently’ Working Group providing guidance on homeworking. Christine has widely received funding for her research including Digital Futures Innovation (ESRC/UKRI) and the Balance Network funding (ESPRC).

Dr Carlo Tramontano

Assistant Professor, Research Centre for Global Learning (GLEA), Coventry University

Carlo Tramontano is a Social Psychologist with many years of experience working in research, he has a long-lasting collaboration with Dr Christine Grant on the investigation of remote working practices, and its potential for promoting inclusive working environment. During his career, he has developed methodological expertise, particularly in relation to the development and validation of psychometric measure and latent variable analyses.

His expertise focuses on prosocial and antisocial behaviour in educational and organisational contexts. His main research interest is related to the study of social-cognitive dimensions, such as self-efficacy beliefs and moral disengagement, in relation to unethical and transgressive conduct in different context (e.g. violent behaviour, transgressive conduct, academic cheating behaviours, unethical behaviours at work). Dr Maria Charalampous

Psychology), University of Limassol

Maria Charalampous is a published academic, Lecturer and Researcher, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and Master’s and PhD in Occupational and Organizational Psychology. Maria’s research expertise in the areas of remote e-working, technology use and its relationship to wellbeing at work, as well as inclusivity at work for people with disability and neurodiversity.

 Maria is currently a Lecturer of HRM, OB & Leadership (Department of Management) and Occupational & Organisational Psychology (Department of Psychology) at the University of Limassol (UOL).

Also, as an Organisational Psychologist practitioner, Maria has experience working with private and public organizations to help them better understand issues and challenges faced, promoting solutions that improve employees’ quality of working life, well-being and organisational performance.

 Maria is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology, and is also an accredited BPS test user for Ability and Personality/Psychometric testing. Maria’s aspiration is to contribute in making work the best, the most inclusive, and the most fulfilling it can be.


Dr Emma Russell

Reader in Occupational & Organizational Psychology

University of Sussex 

Dr Emma Russell is a Chartered and Registered Occupational Psychologist and a Reader in Occupational & Organizational Psychology at the University of Sussex Business School. Emma is a co-investigator at the ESRC funded Digital Futures at Work (Digit) Research Centre where she co-leads the Mid and Early Career Researcher stream, and the Digit Data Observatory (Emma also co-edits the Digit Blog: a useful resource for those interested in how digitalisation is changing work). Emma is a Policy Fellow at Sussex and her research focuses on agile working in applied organisational settings, particularly in relation to digital communications, personality, and well-being. Emma is founder and director of agiLab, working with the NHS to help deliver their ‘flexible by default’ agenda. Her work has been funded by a number of research bodies, trusts and private organisations and has been published in high impact academic journals, conference proceedings, books, and working papers/reports.
